Camp Smiles

What: Camp Smiles at Camp For All is a week-long summer camp for children with cerebral palsy.  Camp Smiles at Camp For All is held at Camp For All, a barrier-free camp that is fully equipped to serve children who are chronically ill or disabled.  The facilities include modifications and features to meet the needs of special campers.  The campsite includes activities such as archery, canoeing, fishing, horseback riding, outdoor camping, a ropes course, and swimming.  Campers also have the chance to choose among three "tracks": (1) Hippotherapy, (2) Photography, and (3) Sports.

Camp Smiles at Camp For All counselors act as "buddies", one to each camper.  Counselors attend all activities with their camper and help with all ADL's; and counselors also sleep in the same cabin as their camper.  Camp Smiles at Camp For All cabin leaders, not assigned to campers, oversee cabin activities.

Camp Smiles at Camp For All is open to children with a primary diagnosis of cerebral palsy, ages 6-14 at the beginning of camp.  Details of eligibility are covered on the first page of the application.  The cost of camp is based on parent pledge.
