United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Houston, Inc. (UCP) is a non-profit corporation established to provide services to individuals of all ages with all types of disabilities and their families. As an affiliate of United Cerebral Palsy Associations, the agency supports advocacy, public information and education, and research programs. UCP has a total operating budget of approximately $5.6 million. Approximately 50% of the budget is provided by government grants, 18% from United Way Services, and the remaining 32% is derived from public support and third party payments.
With a staff of seventy plus, UCP of Greater Houston serves individuals and their families from a number of outreach locations, offering eight major programs: Adult Activity Program, Camps, Counseling and Case Management, ECI/Infant Development, Housing Initiatives, High School/High Tech, Respite Services and Play therapy and Assistive Technology Lab.
