Challenger Little League is a baseball league for children 5-18 (or until the completion of High School) with physical or mental challenges. Houston has two divisions: West University and Katy American.

Pool Activities for children and young adults with multiple disabilities by SPARK at the W. Gray Adaptive Recreation Center (heated covered pool). For information, please call Rosario at 832-230-5486. The activities will be on the second Saturday of each month, from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Texas Adaptive Aquatics allows people with physical and/or mental disabilities the opportunity to participate in water skiing, sailling, and kayaking. (ages 5+)
All-Star Martial Arts offers a "Samurai" class for those with physical, emotional, or developmental disabilities every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. (all ages)
The K2 Academy of Kids Sports' SOAR (Success and Opportunity Achieved through Recreation) program is an adaptive gymnastics program created for children with disabilities.
Houston Parks and Recreation Department has adaptive sports and recreation classes, including adult wheelchair tennis, basketball, volleyball, bowling, and football; adult beep baseball; junior wheelchair sport camp (5-19 yrs) and youth wheelchair tennis (6-16 yrs).

Texas Children's Hospital Kids' Fun Run: a 2-mile non-competitive event for kids ages 5-15 with a shorter course for kids with special needs. The race is followed by a free breakfast at the George R. Brown convention center. Registration is $10 per child.

Mardi Gras Ball for Special People: a free event for people with disabilities and their immediate family/caregivers held at Moody Gardens Convention Center in Galveston. Baytown Special Rodeo: A western fun day for kids with special needs that includes stick horse barrel racing, roping, hayrides, and more.
