UCP is excited to announce the Childrens Therapy Program! The Childrens Therapy Program provides Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy to children ages 3-13 with all types of disabilities. The program also provides family support with a therapy model incorporating family involvement and empowerment.
Developmental disabilities can result in a lifetime of accumulated financial and social costs for families and the general society. Studies have found therapeutic intervention has resulted in long-term cost savings of reduced special education spending, enhanced productivity, lower welfare costs, increased tax revenues, and lower juvenile justice costs - overall being very cost effective- developmentally for the child, emotionally for the family, and financially for the family and the taxpayers in our community.
Children participating DO NOT have to be former UCP Infant Development clients to be eligible. Services may be paid for by Medicaid or out-of-pocket (UCP will do what it can to work within your family’s budget).
Therapy services are provided in UCP’s main office in Bellaire. Contact Mary Dawson at (713) 838-9050 ext. 325
