Camp Smiles is a week-long overnight camp held at Camp For All in Brenham, TX, a barrier-free camp that is fully equipped to serve children who are chronically ill or disabled. The camp is for children ages 6-14 with cerebral palsy or similar neurological disorders. The facilities include modifications and features to meet the needs of special campers. The campsite includes activities such as archery, canoeing, fishing, horseback riding, outdoor camping, a ropes course, and swimming. Campers also have the chance to choose among three "tracks": past tracks have included (1) Hippotherapy, (2) Photography & Fine Arts, and (3) Sports & Yoga.
Camp Smiles counselors act as "buddies", one to each camper. Counselors attend all activities with their camper, help with all daily needs, and counselors sleep in the same cabin as their camper. Camp Smiles cabin leaders, not assigned to campers, oversee cabin activities. There is still room for campers, please turn your application in as soon as possible.
