Assistive Technology Lab United Cerebral Palsy is very excited to announce that it has received an incredibly generous in-kind grant to establish an assistive technology lab for people with physical and cognitive disabilities from the Texas Technology Access Project of the Texas Center for Disability Studies. The use of technology can lead to a greater connection to the world, easier access to services and supports and greater independence for people with disabilities. The grant includes computers, specialized software and training. The lab will be open for the use by any individual with a disability and their family members. United Cerebral Palsy will incorporate training and use of the technology into our existing programs and as a platform for program expansion. We hope to inaugurate the lab in the next few months. |
