Irene Young / I Come From
I come from a place where it is hot and humid
and the spirits keep you cool.
I come from a place where people work hard to live,
and live hard to work.
I come from a three-bed, one-bath house.
I come from a supportive family.
I come from sitting around with nothing to do.
I come from a world of reality
into a world of fantasy.

Andrew Griffith
It's a wiki wiki world that I'm seeing these days.  Wondering about
my life and how it's going to be the next day.
You think about the good and bad.
But take a look at this life of mine and all you see is bad times.
Sometimes you wonder 'til you can't wonder no mo.
Think of happiness – and people – but think, it ain't so.
So I wonder how light gone shine on nothing in this life of mine.
I sit back and watch and wait
for the light to shine.

Beatrice Battle / Where I Come From
Where I come from, in my family, wherever we go, we always come deep.
Where I come from we don't smell any fear.

Where I come from we see lots of fights, gangs pass by every two seconds, …. drugs.
But Where I come from we always have a sweet taste of homemade cookies.
Where I come from nobody can touch us, because…
Where I come from,
we always come deep.
